Hobby Racing

The last round of the 2012 edition of the Romanian Superbike Championship returned to the "home" track for most of the pilots - Serres. The "en titre" champion of the Superbike class Ionut Mistode and his competitor Catalin Cazacu were separated by only 4 points in the championship standings, so the battle for the title was still open.
Although the round was programmed late in October, Greece didn't let us down and welcome us with plenty of sunshine. However, it was a little cold in the morning and I made the decision not to go on the track in the first sessions of each day.
Another surprise was the new asphalt on the circuit. Unfortunately, for me it was not such a nice surprise because of some bumps "strategically" placed at the entrance on the main straight, at the braking area at the end of the same high speed zone and at the entrance of the fastest corner of the circuit. I couldn't accomodate this new variables and after the qualifying day my best lap was 1:34:830, 3.5 seconds slower than my best time on Serres.
So, because of my poor performance I had to start the race from the last position on the grid, the 20^th. Results
